British Champs hat-trick for Quentin

Following on from his wins in the British Nights and the British Middles, Quentin Harding made it three in a row at the British Long Distance Championships at Golden Valley in Surrey, winning the M60 class by just 27 seconds from local runner Stephen Keyes. The pair of them, however, were 7 minutes clear fo the rest of the field over the tough, very hilly, 8.3k course. Partner Ruth Ker narrowly missed out on her third podium in a row, finishing 4th in W55, just 86 seconds off the gold medal position, having notched up a win in the Nights and 2nd place at the Middles.

Quentin and Ruth then teamed up with Nick Andralojc to take on the Men’s Short Relay the next day, finishing an excellent 10th, Nick having made a special trip to make up the team, and getting there in spite of his car not making it!
