British Sprint Champs: 2 golds and a silver!

After the hectic day at the Relays, the Claro team were off to the Individual Championships on the Sunday at Leeds University, and another great day it turned out to be. Some fast and furious (and technical!) racing, a great atmosphere, and a crop of super results!

Three Claros stepped on to the podium at the end of the day: Quentin Harding continued his amazing run of form with another win in M60, completing the full complete set of all the individual British Champs (Night, Long, Middle, Sprint)! Also climbing on to the top step was Ruth Ker in W55 – her second title of the year (also British Nights) – obviously still fresh after her efforts as the previous day’s planner! To complete the hat-trick, Lois Parker took a brilliant silver medal in W20.

Other A finalists were Matthew Rochester in Men’s Elite, 17th in the final, Jemima Parker 10th in W50, and Andrew Kelly, 5th in the M60, his best ever championship result. And to add to Bryn’s first time completion on the Saturday, congratulations to Katie Gray and June Graham on successfully completing their first ever British Champs, and first ever sprints!
