Most of our team stayed at the Dartmoor YHA on the Saturday  which made for a great social evening, with a meal cooked for us by the hostel. Thanks to Ruth for organising this.

After a really wet Saturday, we were fortunate for fairly good weather on the Sunday and the club tent provided a good focal point  before and after runs.

All 15 competitors successfully completed their courses, and 12 had qualifying scores for the Trophy. Captain Mike sent out the following message which I hope he doesn’t mind being reproduced here. Thanks to Mike for pulling together and entering our team.

Huge thanks to all who turned out for the team yesterday. A magnificent effort to travel so far to represent Claro in the final. We weren’t winners but a very solid 8th (out of 12) with an incomplete team. One extra counter would have moved us up a couple of places …

Looking forward to next year – 11th March probably at Canklow in South  Yorks so put it in the diary now!”
