Thank you for your generous feedback. \u00a0I do appreciate hearing that you enjoyed your course and understand the effort that goes into creating an interesting run for you.<\/p>\n

We were very lucky with the weather, the hospitality of The Workhouse Museum and their cafe and getting into the new area to the North West of your courses, known as The Old College.<\/p>\n

Our apologies for control 202 which had been tossed to the wrong side of the wall by some prankster and affected a few runners before we went out and re-rectified it. \u00a0We consider its effect was not great enough to warrant any action on the results.<\/p>\n

I am aware that a few people tackled the river (it had never occurred to me during planning that you might, however the raging winter torrent had reduced to a burble – it is an uncrossable river so you shouldn’t really have). \u00a0A few pushed through a hedge by the playground: \u00a0The Old College were sensitive to us being there so this is the kind of behaviour that could jeopardise future use (besides being unfair). \u00a0 We have no complete record so have no intention of disqualifying any one \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

I would love to watch your run on Routegadget. \u00a0I will watch each one avidly and thank you for it…..<\/p>\n

\nClaro will host a\u00a0YHOA Urban League<\/a> event from The Workhouse Museum in Ripon on Sunday 26th May 2019.<\/p>\n

Assembly, Start and Finish at The Workhouse Museum<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Ripon is a fascinating small city with a magnificent Cathedral, intricate old streets, river and canal. At a map scale of 1:4000 maximum use can be made of the centre. A considerable new area has been added for this event (map fully updated and extended by Quentin Harding). Also new for this event is our assembly area inside The Workhouse Museum with its complex of old buildings and gardens. The junior courses will use this and neighbouring low traffic areas. The Start, Finish and a few sprint-style controls will be within the Museum grounds along with indoor space for registration and bags, toilets and a cafe.<\/p>\n

If you have run in Ripon before, expect the unexpected!<\/p>\n

The Workhouse Museum<\/a>, (show your map for a 10% discount on the entry fee), the other Ripon museums and the Cathedral<\/a> are well worth a look round at a slower pace after your run.<\/p>\n
