GENERAL INFORMATION (applies to most events, but see individual event details for specific info)

Times: Come from 1:30pm onwards. You can start at any time 1:30-3pm. Courses will close at 3:15pm. This means you need to be back at the finish by 3:15pm, otherwise we may have to come looking for you.

Getting Started: Find us by the Claro banner. You will be welcomed and helped to sign in. You will be given a “dibber”, an electronic timing chip, to borrow. If you are new to orienteering, you may like to undertake a short walk round a course with one of our coaches to help you get started. Then you can get started on the courses as described below.

Costs: Children £3. Adults £4. Claro members half price – see below for joining details.

Courses (you can do as many as you want!)
At our Give It A Go events we usually have a selection of short courses of about a km each. You can have a go at as many of these as you like, in whichever order you choose.
We also offer an ‘orange’ standard course, slightly harder and longer than the short courses (2-3km). This is ideal for adult beginners who are confident runners, or more confident with a map.

Club membership: Joining Claro gives you access to a wide range of benefits, and keeps you in regular touch with the club. Become a member here
