Welcome to a summer evening favourite, Hookstone Woods in the lovely Crimple Valley, adjacent to the Harrogate Showground.

Venue: Adjacent to 14th Harrogate Scout Hut, opposite Harrogate Sports and Fitness, at the end of Hookstone Wood Road, HG2 8PN

Entry details: British Orienteering senior members £6 , non-members £7; juniors £2. Timing chip hire: Seniors £1, Juniors £0.50. Please note, the fee for a lost chip is £30. Enter by midnight Sun May 31st for a guaranteed map.

Courses: The traditional 4 courses: Long and Short Experienced, Long and Short Beginners.
Terrain: three blocks of woodland connected by open grassland. Terrain includes flat runnable mature woodland and some more craggy and sloping areas. The area is open to the public and is a well-used open space use crossed by public rights-of-way and numerous unofficial footpaths and cycle tracks. There are also some tarmacked paths. Please note that much of the open grassland which has featured in past events at this location is now fenced off and out-of-bounds. The majority of all courses is within the wooded areas.Woodland undergrowth is tall in places and full leg covering is recommended.
