DIRECTIONS:         The event is based just to the east (towards town centre) of the Sun Pavillion on the north east side of Valley Gardens. Parking is on Cornwall Road and the ‘backstreets’ to the north. If you are unfamiliar with Harrogate then approach from the Otley Rd (B6162): coming from the west (Beckwithshaw) turn left onto Harlow Moor Road at the second set of traffic lights; from the east (town) turn right at the third set of lights after the large Leeds Road roundabout. Then go about 800m along Harlow Moor Road (through the woods) before turning right onto Cornwall Road. The event centre is about 800m down Cornwall Road – look for parking on the right-hand side of the road. If you pass the Sun Pavillion without parking take the sharp left turn onto Clarence Drive (and then perhaps another left onto York Rd. ) where there is more parking. Beware that most of the parking has a 3 hour waiting limit before 6pm and ideally you should have a parking disc showing arrival time.

REGISTRATION: Registration is in the collonade on the edge of the garden. The garden is accessed by an almost secret door opposite Clarence Rd,  by the Claro feather.

TOILETS AND POST-RUN REFRESHMENT:   There are public conveniences nearby in Resent Gardens but these will close some time between 6pm and 7pm. If these are closed we may use the toilets at Hales Bar but the pub is likely to be busy please try to ‘go before you come’ or get to the public conveniences earlier. The Hales Bar is also the perfect venue for post-run refreshment!

TERRAIN: The terrain is a mix of the formal gardens at the north East of the area a former pitch and put golf course in the centre of the area and the Pine Woods to the south west of the area at the top of the hill.  The Pine Woods is a wooded area with a dense network of dog walking tracks, dense bushes and runable wood.  The site rises from the North East to the south West
