Timings:   Registration opens 1745, Starts from1800-1900, Courses close 1930. 

Event fees: BOF Members £5, Non-members £6, Juniors £3. Timing chip hire: Seniors £1, Juniors £0.50 (fee for a lost chip: £30).

Courses
Short Beginners: 1.0km – standard orienteering course
Long Beginners: 2.0km – standard orienteering course
Short Experienced: c2.5km – combined standard course followed by a ‘scatter’ or Spanish Score section.
Long Experienced: c4.4km – combined standard course followed by a ‘scatter’ or Spanish Score section.

Short and Long Experienced courses will combine a standard orienteering course with a Spanish Score Event.  In the Spanish Score section you will be given a list of controls, you have to find them ALL but you can choose the order that you visit them before finishing.


Full electronic timing (contactless enabled) on all courses.

Terrain description: Mixed grassland, woodland and playing fields, with some urban on experienced courses. Beginner courses will stay within the community park.

Coaching: a pre-event coaching session will be led by Quentin Harding starting at 17:20, with the opportunity to afterwards practise skills learned on the course of your choice. Topic for this session: Contour Interpretation. The session is intending to end shortly after 18:00 to allow evening courses to be completed.
