The Club Year

Whilst no two years are the same, the table below shows the typical pattern for a year.

January/February	Claro Regional event in local woods or moorland. Claro informal score events in the streets of Harrogate and Ripon. The British Night Orienteering Championships.
March	Claro Regional event in local woods or moorland. Every other year or so we try to promote a Level B event. The CompassSport Cup competition first round – the inter-club contest.
April	The Jan Kjellstrom International Festival of Orienteering – this lasts for four days over the Easter weekend and is a popular way of spending the holiday with Club orienteers.
May/June	The British Championships – try your skills against the best in the sport in your age group. Claro Regional Urban event in one of our local towns’ streets and parkland. Claro informal events in rural terrain around the district.
July/August	Claro club championship race and picnic – with innovative scoring to give everybody a chance. National 5 or 6 day event which many Claros attend. Held every second year in Scotland and alternating Wales or the Lakes in intervening years.
September	Claro Club Orienteering League begins – a series of about 5 or so Claro events. Claro Regional event in local woods or moorland.
October	The Claro AGM. Claro informal score events in the streets of Harrogate and Ripon.
November/December	Claro Regional Night event in local woods or moorland. Claro Regional traditional event in local woods or moorland.
